Steam/Dieselpunk goggles

Description

A couple of googles I customized.

The ones above are welding goggles bought at a DIY store, painted and ornamented with a little owl which was originally an earring. I was inspired by this tutorial [link] but I did a "softer" customization since these goggles are supposed to be part of a "sober" dieselpunk uniform (currently not yet completed).

The ones below are instead a pair of re-painted Poizen Industries goggles (more traditionally steampunkish than the previous one).

These are cool. To build on the tutorial you linked, you can also paint the flexible masks of these goggles with regular acrylic paint like you would use to paint on canvas. Start with mars black and brush on a few light coats and before you know it you get a non-sticky surface with some great texture and you can build on that with Rub-N-Buff to make the whole thing look like tarnished metal.
